Join Latinos of Montclair for an unforgettable afternoon with the visionary Luis Miranda, Jr., a pioneering force in the Latino community and proud father of the genius behind Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda.

We are thrilled to introduce his compelling new memoir, Relentless: My Story of the Latino Spirit That Is Transforming America (Hachette Books, $30). This work is not just a book; it's a powerful testament to the indomitable Latino spirit, penned by a man who has lived at the heart of this transformative journey.

BAILE Y CINE

LATINOS OF MONTCLAIR host their first BAILE Y CINE event to build awareness of THE LONG GAME film.

THE LONG GAME is a beautiful, inspirational true story about five young Mexican American caddies in 1957 who, barred from playing on the courses where they caddied, decided to build their own golf course in the South Texas desert and ultimately won the State Championship with the help of their superintendent-turned-coach.

BAILE Y CINE is a 21+ event and all proceeds will go directly to LATINOS OF MONTCLAIR to further its mission in Montclair and across NJ.

Bestselling author Julia Alvarez's recent adult novel, Afterlife, centers on immigrant writer Antonia Vega. She has just transitioned to retirement when her beloved husband dies. And then more jolts: her bighearted but unstable sister disappears, and Antonia returns home one evening to find a pregnant, undocumented teenager on her doorstep. Set during these times of tribalism and distrust, this novel asks: What do we owe those in crisis in our families, including --maybe especially -- members of our human family? How do we live in a broken world without losing faith in one another or ourselves?
