This special screening is part of a three-city New Jersey tour celebrating vibrant Dominican communities across the state.

La Grande offers an intimate look at the extraordinary journey of Fefita La Grande — the first woman to break into the male-dominated world of merengue tĂpico. Known for her bold style, fierce independence, and unmatched accordion mastery, Fefita redefined what it means to be a woman in music.

The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center will host the flagship screening of La Grande, the only location to feature an exclusive post-film talkback with the producer Antonio Rubio. This conversation will explore:
