KENYA V. BENITEZ, M.A.

KENYA V. BENITEZ, M.A., is a devoted language educator and the proud mamá of bilingual twins. Born and raised in New Jersey in a culturally diverse Spanish-speaking family, she understands the importance of cultural expression and linguistic diversity and the challenges of preserving this precious heritage. As a teacher and advisor, she encourages her students to extend their college-level work beyond the classroom and into the community. As the founder and director of Casa Spanglish, she works tirelessly and passionately to fulfill her lifelong dream of connecting people through language and shared cultural experiences.

WENDY K. FERNANDEZ, M.Ed.

WENDY K. FERNANDEZ, M.Ed., is a passionate bilingual educator and proud mother of two older children. Born and raised in Honduras, she has dedicated her career to promoting multilingualism and cultural awareness. As a language specialist, she has taken on various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, program coordinator, and curriculum consultant in dual language immersion school settings. As the director of Casa Spanglish, Ms. Fernandez continues to share her love of language and culture with those seeking to preserve our cultural identity.Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
